Mir comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Spoilin For A Fight kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Brian Van Dam has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Mir! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Dam lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mir circles away quickly and effectively. Van Dam lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Frank Mir has been cut. Some wild striking there from Van Dam.
Van Dam misses with a few strikes there.
Mir fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Van Dam sprawls well initially but Mir persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mir passes to side control. Mir wants to lay and pray for a moment but Van Dam keeps working. Van Dam is looking to get back to his feet here but Mir is keeping cool and he's managed to take Van Dam's back. Van Dam is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. That's one minute gone in the round. Van Dam is trapped and Mir is scoring with shots to the head and body. Well, with Mir on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Van Dam is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Mir trying to control momentarily.
Mir controls the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Van Dam controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Mir lands punches and elbows. Van Dam looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Mir lands strikes to the head. Mir is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Van Dam won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Mir off his unconscious opponent!
