Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller has chosen Walk with Me In Hell as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Xavier Mendez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eddie Miller! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller wants to clinch. Mendez throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Eddie Miller has been cut. Miller tries to close the distance and clinch but Mendez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mendez moves out of range as Miller strikes. Mendez drops Miller with a beautiful combination! Miller stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mendez is looking for the KO! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Miller blocks a head kick by Mendez.
A big right from Mendez misses. Mendez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mendez drops Miller with a beautiful combination! Miller stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mendez is looking for the KO!
Miller is rocked! Miller fails in his attempt to clinch. Miller is still on wobbly legs! Can Mendez finish him? Mendez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Miller seems to have recovered his senses. Mendez avoids the head kick by Miller.
Mendez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Miller. Miller circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Miller bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A head kick misses from Miller. Mendez throws the left hand but Miller avoids the punch easily. Mendez throws a sloppy head kick and Miller moves out of range easily. Mendez throws a wild body kick that Miller sees coming a mile off. Mendez lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Miller wants to clinch up but Mendez keeps it at a distance. Miller tries to close the distance and clinch but Mendez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mendez looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Mendez throws a leg kick which misses Miller's front leg but catches the back leg as Miller tries to avoid it. Mendez misses with a head kick.
Mendez lands with a hook. Miller tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Mendez keeps the fight on the outside. Miller tries to clinch but Mendez moves out of range. Mendez swinging wildly here.
Mendez lands a big head kick that sends Miller tumbling to the mat! Mendez takes a step backwards and waves Miller back to his feet - he wants the finish! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Miller wants to clinch. Mendez misses with a few strikes there.
Eddie Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mendez tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Miller is able to avoid easily. Mendez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Mendez connects with a looping right hand.
Mendez cracks Miller with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Miller looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Mendez finish him?
Miller tries to clinch there but Mendez circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller moves into range and clinches up with Mendez. Mendez wants to get back to striking at distance but Miller won't allow it.
Miller throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Mendez is trying to force a seperation but Miller has the dominant position. Miller is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mendez pulls him back up using the underhooks. Mendez dodges an elbow strike from Miller.
Miller is trying to drag Mendez to the mat but Mendez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Miller lands an elbow inside that Mendez shrugs off. Mendez dodges an elbow strike from Miller.
Mendez manages to break the clinch.
Miller scores with a hook. Miller on the wrong end of a nice jab. Miller misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mendez with a body punch. A glancing blow. Miller looks gassed! Mendez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Miller takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Mendez lands a body shot.
Miller takes one to the chin there. Miller wants to clinch up but Mendez keeps it at a distance. Mendez sends Miller crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Mendez is motioning to the referee to let Miller up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mendez cracks Miller with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Miller tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Mendez pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Miller is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xavier Mendez!
