Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cha Cha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Thain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thain has chosen Cypress Hill - Get 'Em Up as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thain throws out a loose jab but Cha uses good head movement to avoid it. Cha keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The fight stays on the outside here - Thain looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cha works Thain's body with a nice hook. Thain with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cha to score with a decent uppercut. Cha shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Thain napping and manages to drive through into side control! Cha throws a strike aimed at the side of Thain's head but Thain avoids it well. Cha working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Cha prevents Thain from escaping the position. Cha working the ground and pound but Thain is defending the strikes. Thain managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Cha.
Cha in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Thain is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cha has just dragged him back down to the mat. Cha wants to control but Thain is keeping him busy.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cha sizes up Thain with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Cha staying out of range there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cha swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cha swats away the attempt to clinch by Thain. Cha lands with a nice body punch. Thain misses with a head kick.
Cha swings for the body but Thain moves out of range.
Cha lands with an uppercut that bounces Thain off the cage and back into rage. Cha lands a head shot. Cha throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thain staying out of range there. Thain takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Cha swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Cha thows a left - swing and a miss! Cha scores with a shot to the body.
Cha closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Thain did well to prevent Cha getting side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cha is trying to control. Thain wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Thain is trying to stand up here but Cha is controlling him well. Thain keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cha missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cha connects with a nice short shot to Thain's temple. Cha thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Thain to regain full guard. Cha with a flurry of punches that miss. Cha prevents Thain from getting back to his feet. Thain looks gassed! Cha working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cha is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Cha controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Cha keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Thain's head. Cha trying to control the position from guard on top but Thain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cha accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Cha being controlled here momentarily. Cha throws a big right hand that misses. Cha in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Thain trying to control the position.
Cha throwing strikes from guard but Thain blocks nicely. Cha trying to control the position from guard on top but Thain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cha paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Thain misses with a double jab
and Cha counters with a straight right hand. A punch combination from Thain misses. Thain clinches but Cha breaks the clinch and Cha counters with a stiff right hand. Cha connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Cha fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. The fighters circle momentarily. Cha darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Cha connects with the punch. Thain tries to clinch and Cha connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Thain tries to clinch but fails miserably and Cha counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thain thinking. Thain closes the distance and pushes Cha back into the cage. Cha blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Thain. Cha wants to break the clinch but can't.
Thain swings wildly with an uppercut but Cha uses good head movement to avoid it. Cha gets through Thain's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Cha breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cha Cha dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Thain takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Cha looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Thain is trying to maintain the position but Cha is very close to passing his half guard. Cha throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Thain wants to control but Cha is keeping busy.
Cha has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cha looks to land a strike but Thain avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Cha throws a strike but Thain rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Cha trying to control the position.
Cha is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Thain is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thain preventing the sweep. Thain stands up from guard. Let's bang! Cha scores with a decent looking hook. Cha circles away from the clinch attempt and Cha counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cha. Thain is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cha is controlling him. Thain is breathing heavily. Cha is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Thain controlling the position. Thain keeping moving, preventing Cha from controlling successfully.

Thain might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cha kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Cha thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cha throws a looping overhand right but Thain ducks down to avoid it. Thain looks to land a combination but Cha avoids it well. Thain takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Thain tries to clinch but Cha moves away and Cha counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Thain clinches but Cha breaks the clinch and Cha counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Thain throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cha scores with a hook to the body. Thain takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thain tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cha swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cha lands a nice hook to Thain's body. Thain takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Thain throws a series of punches but Cha avoids them all with ease. Cha scores with a jab. Cha lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Scott Thain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Thain takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Thain tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Cha counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Cha with a body punch. A glancing blow. Thain tries to clinch up so Cha counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Cha working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Cha lands a couple of decent looking shots. Cha tries to free his leg and advance position but Thain is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cha is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cha scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cha trying to control the position from guard on top but Thain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cha looking to sit in guard and control but Thain gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Thain tries to stand but Cha is controlling from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Thain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cha swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cha Cha dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Cha takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Cha fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Thain on the side of the head. Cha lands the left hand. Thain looks to clinch and Cha counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Thain looks to clinch and Cha counters with a straight right hand. Cha throws a good cross that connects.
Thain takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Cha is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Thain can do to turn this around? Cha throws a looping overhand right but Thain ducks down to avoid it. Thain misses with a wild combination.
Cha fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Cha fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Thain on the side of the head. Cha circles away from the clinch attempt and Cha counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Cha Cha is winning the standup battle so far. Thain takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Thain takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Cha dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cha feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Thain avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Cha trying to control but Thain is working from the bottom. Cha postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cha pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Thain is keeping the position for now. Cha passes Thain's left leg - he's now in half guard. Cha is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Thain has managed to free his arm - good work. Cha seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thain is trying to maintain the position but Cha is very close to passing his half guard. Cha is pressing down on Thain's thigh, looking to free his foot. Thain is holding on for now. Thain is trying to stand back up but Cha is controlling him
Thain won't allow Cha to pass to mount. Cha thows a huge punch but Thain dodges it nicely.
Cha is taking a breather. Thain says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Cha Cha overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cha is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Thain's half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cha thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Cha misses with a head shot. Thain uses the momentum to regain guard. Cha throws a strike but Thain rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Cha lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Thain! Thain tries to lock up and control but Cha gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Thain avoids a series of strikes thrown by Cha.

Cha Cha is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cha prevents Thain from getting the reversal. Cha looking to control but Thain is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Cha prevents Thain from getting the reversal. Cha takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Scott Thain has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cha unloads with some shots from mount but Thain bucks and avoids them well.
And that's the end of the fight! Cha Cha showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cha, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
