Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Mylly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urho Kekkonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matt Mylly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Urho Kekkonen!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Kekkonen or perhaps it was just good defense by Mylly which made him look bad.
Kekkonen tries to clinch there but Mylly circles away.
Kekkonen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The crowd cheers as Mylly lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kekkonen doesn't seem phased though.
Mylly scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Mylly lands a jab to the head.
Mylly fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Urho Kekkonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mylly rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kekkonen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kekkonen moves into range and clinches up with Mylly.

Kekkonen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mylly can't fight it off and eventually Kekkonen manages to take the fight to the floor. Mylly looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mylly on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mylly tries to get out of the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kekkonen moves in looking to clinch but Mylly pushes him off.
Kekkonen throws a looping overhand right but Mylly ducks down to avoid it.

Mylly shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mylly showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Mylly is stalling here. Kekkonen is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Mylly seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kekkonen has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Mylly tries to improve position but can't.
Kekkonen lands a nice forearm strike.
Kekkonen looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mylly is avoiding damage well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kekkonen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kekkonen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mylly bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Kekkonen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mylly to the mat! Mylly manages to get full guard.

Kekkonen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mylly wants to control from the top but Kekkonen keeps moving.

Kekkonen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kekkonen lands in his opponent's guard.

Urho Kekkonen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

It looks like Urho Kekkonen has been cut.
Mylly tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kekkonen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kekkonen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kekkonen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mylly wants to get back to his feet.
Kekkonen slips a nice elbow through Mylly's hands, connecting with Mylly's forehead.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kekkonen connects with a nice short shot to Mylly's temple.

Kekkonen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mylly swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Urho Kekkonen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kekkonen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
