The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pollock takes a kick to the side of the head.
Pollock misses with a low kick.
Pollock shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Smith is looking to improve his position but Pollock isn't that keen on the idea.

It looks like Steve Smith has been cut.
Pollock scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That has opened up Steve Smith's cut even more.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smith is squirming around, avoiding Pollock's attempts to control the action.
Smith can't escape the position.
Pollock throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Smith because Pollock loaded up on that one.
Smith wants to control but Pollock is having none of it.

Steve Smith's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Steve Smith's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
