Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Gordo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamir Vi Brittania (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vi Brittania is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by phantom of the opera-nightwish. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vi Brittania throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gordo's waist but Gordo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vi Brittania off to one side.
Gordo shoots and misses
and Vi Brittania counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Vi Brittania.
Vi Brittania trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Gordo manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Gordo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vi Brittania is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gordo, into his guard.
Gordo seems keen to control Vi Brittania's posture.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Vi Brittania got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gordo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vi Brittania has managed to get both his arms back between Gordo's legs - danger averted.
Gordo has his hands on Vi Brittania's head, controlling the position.
Gordo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Vi Brittania throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

so Vi Brittania counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gordo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vi Brittania is one step ahead there.

Gordo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gordo thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Vi Brittania wants to control from the top but Gordo keeps moving.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gordo wriggles free and stands up.
A nice inside leg kick there by Vi Brittania. That's going to slow Gordo down.
Gordo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Vi Brittania counters by clinching up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Vi Brittania throws an elbow but it misses.
Gordo has had enough of the clinch but Vi Brittania keeps him there for the moment.
Gordo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Vi Brittania prevents Gordo from breaking the clinch.

Gordo fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Gordo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gordo tries to break the clinch but Vi Brittania is controlling the position.
Gordo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gordo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Gordo is looking to sinch up a triangle. Vi Brittania throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gordo's body to avoid the submission. Gordo has instead reached around Vi Brittania's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gordo arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
