Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Garnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dilo Piang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kevin Garnett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dilo Piang!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garnett looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Piang!
Piang looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Garnett takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Garnett gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
No joy there for Piang, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Garnett shoots in and bounces Piang off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Garnett seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Piang for as long as he can get away with.

Piang can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Garnett controls the pace.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Kevin Garnett just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Nice defenses there by Garnett.

Garnett shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Piang manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Piang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garnett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Garnett is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Piang keeping full guard, as Garnett tries to pass.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Piang keeping moving, preventing Garnett from controlling successfully.
Garnett stands and throws Piang's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Piang trying to remain calm as Garnett controls from the top position.

Garnett is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Piang is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Piang is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Garnett asserts his dominance and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Garnett avoids a punch combination nicely.
Garnett tries to clinch but Piang is having none of it.
Piang thows a left - swing and a miss!
Piang stuffs the takedown attempt from Garnett. Garnett gets slowly back to his feet.
Piang misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Garnett is looking to clinch but Piang is avoiding it.

Piang throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dilo Piang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Piang throws an overhand right that lands on Garnett's shoulder, as Garnett tries to avoid the shot.
Piang will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Piang shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Garnett as he avoids it easily.
Piang throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Garnett.

Garnett shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Piang napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee asks Garnett politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Garnett prefers to stall for the moment though.

Garnett has hold of Piang's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Piang tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Garnett cranks the arm and Piang screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Piang, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Kevin Garnett!
