Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wang Chung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chung comes to the cage accompanied by Everybody Have Fun Tonight- Wang Chung. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wang Chung! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Peter Stevenson! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A clash of legs there as Stevenson blocks the low kick. Stevenson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Chung thuds his right hand into Stevenson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Chung gets caught flat footed, as Stevenson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Stevenson throws a big right hand that misses. Stevenson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chung. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stevenson works over Chung with some ground and pound from guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stevenson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Stevenson postures up.
Chung looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stevenson is one step ahead there. Stevenson postures up and lands a big shot to Chung's brow. Chung working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stevenson. Stevenson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Stevenson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chung works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Stevenson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chung misses with a few strikes there.
Chung scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Peter Stevenson has been cut. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stevenson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stevenson lands in his opponent's guard. Stevenson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevenson throws a big right hand that misses. Stevenson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Stevenson thows a big elbow that misses. Chung is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stevenson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Stevenson lands a couple of digs. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Stevenson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Chung wants to sweep but no luck. Chung is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Chung looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Chung is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Chung escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stevenson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Stevenson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stevenson preventing the sweep. Chung is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Stevenson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Stevenson lands a couple of elbows. Stevenson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Stevenson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Chung's head. Stevenson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Stevenson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Stevenson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Stevenson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chung has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stevenson has managed to get both his arms back between Chung's legs - danger averted. Stevenson landing with the ground and pound.
Chung is rocked! Stevenson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Oh Chung is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevenson postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Chung covers up, he's hurt! Stevenson keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Stevenson and the ref steps in to end the fight! Stevenson can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Stevenson!
