Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dick Boozer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiro Kanada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boozer comes into the arena with Rock Star by R. Kelly blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dick Boozer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hiro Kanada! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kanada looks to score with a jab to the body but Boozer is just out of range. A punch combination from Boozer misses. Kanada throws a head kick but Boozer moves out of range.

No luck for Kanada with that takedown attempt. Kanada shoots in for a takedown but Boozer shows good takedown defense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kanada doesn't manage to clinch there - Boozer circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kanada looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Boozer throws out a powerful jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kanada scores with a takedown into Boozer's guard. Boozer throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kanada preventing the sweep. Boozer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kanada is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Boozer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kanada's back instead. Boozer trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kanada covering up well and avoiding damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kanada manages to reverse the position and now he's in Boozer's guard. Nice work there by Kanada.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kanada fails with an attempt to clinch.

Boozer wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kanada has him pressed against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Boozer on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Kanada tries to pull guard but Boozer holds him up against the cage and eventually Kanada drops back down to his feet.
Dick Boozer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiro Kanada. Boozer breaks the clinch.
Boozer lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Kanada is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Boozer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kanada. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Left hook, right uppercut from Boozer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boozer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kanada is fending him off so far but Boozer persists. Nope, Kanada circles away and we're back to standing. Boozer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kanada throws out the jab. Boozer fails to land with a series of punches.
Hiro Kanada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boozer throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Kanada's head. Kanada tries to clinch but Boozer moves out of range. Boozer checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Boozer finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. A combination from Boozer does no damage. Kanada throws a head kick that misses and Boozer counters with a left and a right that stings Kanada. Boozer fails with the takedown. Boozer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kanada manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Boozer on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Boozer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kanada on the ground. Boozer trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Kanada manages to pass to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kanada forces the positional change into back control. A lull in the action here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kanada is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Boozer won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Kanada off his unconscious opponent!
