Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Casey Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Casey Carwin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danny Perez! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Carwin is trying to defend but Perez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Carwin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Perez is working away from the top position though. Carwin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Perez connects with a nice short shot to Carwin's temple. Carwin is trying to get back to full guard. Perez wants to pass the guard but Carwin is defending well. Carwin is looking to control Perez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Carwin avoid being mounted? The fighters are battling for position here. Carwin manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Carwin looking for a sweep. Not yet Carwin, not yet. Perez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin trying to keep a closed guard but Perez is proving a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Carwin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Perez closes the distance and clinches. Perez jumps guard and drags Carwin to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Perez pulls Carwin in to control the position. Carwin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Carwin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Perez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perez is trying to keep Carwin in close.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Perez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carwin tries to avoid it but Perez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carwin to the ground. Carwin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Perez staying out of range there. Carwin jabs at Perez's body. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Perez. Carwin thows a body shot but no joy. Perez moves out of range as Carwin strikes. Perez scores with a takedown into Carwin's guard. Perez wants to control from the top but Carwin keeps moving. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Carwin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Perez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Carwin has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Perez is looking to defend but Carwin has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Perez! Carwin pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Perez taps out and this one is all over!
