Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrial Book (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Book shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daley pinned against the cage. Daley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Daley blocks a jab. Book connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Daley's hands. Book misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Daley.
Book wants to clinch up but Daley keeps it at a distance. Book with a nice cross. Book is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Book tries to close the distance and clinch but Daley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Daley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Book. Book fails with an attempt to clinch.

Derrial Book seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Daley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Book throws out the jab. Book clobbers Daley with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Daley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Book. Book swings for the body but Daley moves out of range.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Daley ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Book is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Daley has managed to free his arm - good work. Book is breathing heavily. Daley trying to hold on to Book's head to control him but Book postures up.
Daley is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Book tries to bum rush Daley with a series of wild strikes but Daley uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Daley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Book.
A jab lands there for Daley. Book walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Daley checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Daley slips a straight right by Book. Daley takes a swing at Book's ribcage but misses.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Book is looking to advance position but Daley won't allow it. Daley blocking the ground and pound attempt from Book. Book is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Daley is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. That was a close second round but I would say that Paul Daley will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Book is rocked! Daley walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Book drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Daley swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Book's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
