Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Shackleford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renaldo Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Renaldo Diaz enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rusty Shackleford! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renaldo Diaz! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shackleford tries to bum rush Diaz with a series of wild strikes but Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Shackleford fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Diaz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Diaz tries to clinch up but Shackleford circles away and keeps his distance. Diaz shoots in and bounces Shackleford off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Diaz controlling from the top position. Diaz stops Shackleford from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Shackleford is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Diaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Shackleford works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz postures up in Shackleford's guard and throws a big left but Shackleford blocks it. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A combination from Shackleford does no damage. Shackleford misses with a few strikes there.
Diaz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Diaz lands in his opponent's guard. Diaz throwing strikes from guard but Shackleford blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Diaz trying to control but Shackleford is working from the bottom. Diaz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Shackleford is keeping the position for now. Diaz controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Diaz drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shackleford manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Diaz has Shackleford in his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Diaz holds on and takes a little breather. Diaz looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Diaz is trying to keep Shackleford in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shackleford gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Diaz working for submissions but it's allowed Shackleford to get to half guard.
Diaz looks gassed! Shackleford wants to stand up but Diaz has a hold of him and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rusty Shackleford will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Diaz clinches. Shackleford breaks the clinch.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Diaz is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Shackleford misses with a few strikes there.
Shackleford closes the distance and lands a one-two. Rusty Shackleford is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Diaz rushes Shackleford and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Shackleford keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Diaz's efforts to push away. Diaz stalling the fight.
Diaz wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Diaz tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Shackleford avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Shackleford's face as he tries to break the clinch. Diaz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Shackleford breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shackleford misses with a few strikes there.
Shackleford connects with a right hand. Diaz shakes it off. Shackleford lands with a right hand. Diaz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shackleford finds it's way round the side to connect with Diaz's head. A combination from Shackleford does no damage. Horrible takedown by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Shackleford which made him look bad. Rusty Shackleford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renaldo Diaz. Shackleford throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Diaz. A combination from Diaz does no damage. Shackleford keeps the fight on the outside. Shackleford punishes Diaz's body with a nice straight punch. Diaz is breathing heavily. Shackleford throws a combination. Diaz tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Diaz is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shackleford throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz walks straight into a right hand from Shackleford - that's dropped him! Shackleford jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Diaz from any more punishment! Diaz complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Rusty Shackleford!
