Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nobutaka Hiyoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiyoshi comes to the cage accompanied by Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter. East is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hip Hop-Dead Prez. Nobutaka Hiyoshi has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nobutaka Hiyoshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick East!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
East misses with a kick to the body.

East with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
East tries to work over Hiyoshi's front leg with a kick but Hiyoshi checks it.
Nick East seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

East feints and then cracks Hiyoshi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hiyoshi down.
East moves out of range of the strikes.
Hiyoshi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but East moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
East uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hiyoshi.
Hiyoshi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hiyoshi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
