Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Joones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Abrosimov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Abrosimov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Abrosimov sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Abrosimov tries to roll over but Joones keeps him under control.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Joones connects with a nice short shot to Abrosimov's temple.
Joones lands strikes from half guard.
Abrosimov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Joones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Joones prevents Abrosimov from improving his position.
Abrosimov wants to control but Joones is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Joones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Joones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Joones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Joones drops an elbow to the side of Abrosimov's head.
Joones is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Abrosimov is pressing down on Joones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Abrosimov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Joones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Joones gets to his feet and stands over Abrosimov, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Abrosimov felt that one! Joones unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Abrosimov from any more punishment!
