Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ze Marto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marto comes to the cage accompanied by meant to life . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ze Marto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ken Zero! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marto wants to clinch. Zero fails to land the takedown. Zero shoots in but Marto avoids the takedown attempt easily. Marto looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Marto slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Marto in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Zero looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's one minute gone in the round. Zero keeping moving, preventing Marto from controlling successfully. Marto works over Zero with some ground and pound from guard. Marto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Zero preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Marto trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Zero keeping moving, preventing Marto from controlling successfully. Marto controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Marto wants to control from the top but Zero keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Marto with a flurry of punches that miss. Marto loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Marto doesn't succeed with the takedown and Zero counters with a left to the body. Zero looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Marto! Marto is breathing heavily. Zero throwing strikes here but Marto is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zero throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Marto tries to lock up and control but Zero gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marto in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Zero throwing strikes but Marto uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Marto trying to hold on to Zero's head to control him but Zero postures up.
Marto might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Zero missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Marto is trying to stand back up but Zero is controlling him
Zero thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marto's head. Zero is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Marto is staying active underneath Zero, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Zero stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Marto to get to his feet. Zero has his takedown stuffed and Marto counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Ze Marto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Zero. Zero won't allow Marto to pass to mount. Zero keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Zero manages to escape and get back to his feet! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ze Marto dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Zero closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Zero throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Zero not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Marto wants to control but Zero is keeping busy and won't allow it. Marto keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Zero trying to control the action but Marto is working from the bottom. Marto has hold of Zero's hands but Zero slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Zero trying to control from half guard but Marto is working away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marto is trying to maintain the position but Zero is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Marto dives in and grabs Zero's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zero pushes down on Marto's head and hops out. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zero is defended easily by Marto. Marto slaps away a takedown attempt from Zero, before circling back to the center of the mat. Marto stuffs the takedown attempt from Zero. Zero gets slowly back to his feet. Ze Marto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Zero. Zero shoots in and drives through. Marto sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Marto shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zero's guard. Ze Marto overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Zero not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marto sitting in guard here, content to control. Marto trying to control but Zero is working from the bottom. Marto content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Zero thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Marto avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Marto looking to sit in guard and control but Zero gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Zero chips away with some ground and pound. Marto is trying to keep Zero in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Zero working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Zero trying to control the position from guard on top but Marto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zero postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Zero throws a big right hand that misses. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Zero with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Zero is looking to work some ground and pound but Marto has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Ken Zero will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Zero misses with a takedown and Marto counters with a head kick. Zero scores a takedown into full mount! Zero is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Marto has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Marto! Marto trying to control the position from guard on top but Zero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marto works over Zero with some ground and pound from guard. Zero working a defensive guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Marto stands and steps away. Zero gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Zero gets a clinch. Zero pulls guard successfully.

Zero is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Marto is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marto stops Zero from standing up. Zero is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Marto trying to control but Zero is working from the bottom. Zero trying to control the position.
Marto scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Marto controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Marto trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Zero shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marto as he avoids it easily. Zero throws a nice outside leg kick. Zero fails with a takedown attempt. Ze Marto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Zero. Zero looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Zero shoots and misses and Marto counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Zero's guard now. Zero avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Marto with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Zero working for a triangle but Marto defends it easily.
Zero has a closed guard, preventing Marto from standing up. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Marto here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marto working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Marto with a flurry of punches that miss. Marto scoring with some ground and pound. Marto trying to control but Zero is working from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Zero shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Marto counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zero won't be happy with that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Marto in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Marto passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Zero!
And that's the end of the fight! Ze Marto showed his dominance in that final round. I think Marto has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
