Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dimitri Grozny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Akanishi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dimitri Grozny has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dimitri Grozny seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Akanishi.
Akanishi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Akanishi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Akanishi tries for a kimura but Grozny is defending well.
Grozny is looking to regain half guard here but Akanishi keeps moving and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Grozny wants to get back to his feet but Akanishi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Akanishi is fighting to break Grozny's control of his arms but Grozny is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Akanishi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grozny wants to stand but Akanishi is controlling the position.

No joy there for Akanishi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Akanishi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Akanishi lands in his opponent's guard.

Grozny is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Akanishi is controlling him.
Akanishi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grozny. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Good leg kick by Grozny there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Grozny throws a right hand that Akanishi ducks under and follows up with a left that Akanishi also avoids with ease.

Akanishi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Akanishi wants it to stay on the feet.

and Grozny counters with a left and a right that stings Akanishi.

A frustrated look appears on Akanishi's face as he tries to break the clinch.

and Akanishi counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Grozny!

Akanishi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Grozny is looking to escape.
Grozny sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Grozny moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Akanishi has gone for a leg lock! Grozny slips out almost immediately though and dives into Akanishi's guard.
Grozny decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
And that's the end of the fight!
