Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George St Perrie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drederick Tatum! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Perrie fails in his attempt to clinch. St Perrie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tatum paws at him with a jab and circles away. St Perrie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tatum tries to avoid it but St Perrie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tatum to the ground. Tatum escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tatum lands with a right hand. St Perrie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tatum circles away. St Perrie shoots in for a takedown but Tatum shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George St Perrie. That's going to take a lot out of him. St Perrie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. St Perrie walks into a left hand. Horrible takedown by St Perrie or perhaps it was just good defense by Tatum which made him look bad. St Perrie takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Tatum swats away the attempt to clinch by St Perrie. Tatum avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Perrie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tatum's waist but Tatum gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing St Perrie off to one side. St Perrie fails with an attempt to clinch.
No luck for St Perrie with that takedown attempt. Tatum thumps St Perrie with a low kick. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tatum, as that shot connected.
St Perrie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. St Perrie is breathing heavily. Tatum lands a nice shot that snaps St Perrie's head back.
Tatum throws and low kick but St Perrie moves out of range easily. St Perrie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tatum avoids it really well and circles away. St Perrie tries to clinch there but Tatum circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. St Perrie checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Jab, jab by Tatum - just one landing. Tatum keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tatum scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. George St Perrie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. St Perrie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tatum sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten St Perrie somewhat. Tatum scores with a nice head shot.
St Perrie is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Perrie ducks into an uppercut from Tatum and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
