Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teppi Tarinashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Teppi Tarinashi! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers shoots in for a takedown but Tarinashi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rogers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tarinashi wants to control but Rogers postures up. Rogers is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tarinashi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rogers throwing strikes but Tarinashi manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Rogers is trying to get back to half guard. Tarinashi decides to stand back up. Tarinashi steps back and let's Rogers get back to his feet. Steve Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rogers bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rogers takes a jab right on the kisser.
Tarinashi keeps the fight on the outside. Rogers dives in and grabs Tarinashi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tarinashi pushes down on Rogers's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Rogers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tarinashi tries to bum rush Rogers with a series of wild strikes but Rogers uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tarinashi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Steve Rogers has been cut. Rogers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Teppi Tarinashi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rogers tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tarinashi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rogers somewhat. Rogers is breathing heavily. Tarinashi with a jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tarinashi throws a hook but Rogers blocks it. Decent striking displayed by Tarinashi there. Rogers shoots in and drives through. Tarinashi sprawls well. Tarinashi stuffs the takedown. Tarinashi drops Rogers with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rogers looks back up at him and smiles so Tarinashi waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Rogers slips a jab and a cross from Tarinashi.
Tarinashi lands a jab-cross combination. I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Tarinashi has cracked Rogers with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Tarinashi lands another huge swinging hook and Rogers tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Rogers, before Tarinashi can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Teppi Tarinashi!
