Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Numero Ocho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Branko Dalibor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Numero Ocho! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Branko Dalibor! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ocho keeps the fight on the outside. Ocho swats away the attempt to clinch by Dalibor. A looping hook to the body misses from Ocho. Dalibor does a little dance to reset his feet. Ocho lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dalibor at a distance.
Ocho thows a body shot but no joy. Dalibor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ocho paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ocho throws out a loose jab but Dalibor uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dalibor keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Ocho scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Dalibor looks gassed! Dalibor slips under a jab from Ocho. Ocho fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dalibor manages to avoid it. Ocho cracks Dalibor with an uppercut from hell and Dalibor crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Ocho's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
It looks like Branko Dalibor has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ocho postures up and lands a big shot to Dalibor's brow. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dalibor working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ocho. Ocho postures up in Dalibor's guard and throws a big left but Dalibor blocks it. Ocho postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dalibor is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ocho accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dalibor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Dalibor wants to stand but Ocho is controlling the position. Dalibor is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ocho fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. A big left from Ocho misses. Ocho dances in with a quick combination. Dalibor is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Ocho snaps Dalibor's head back. Dalibor stumbles backwards against the cage. Ocho steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Dalibor's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Dalibor just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Numero Ocho! Numero Ocho retains his super heavyweight title!
