Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Goss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goss's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sybreed: Emma-0. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Silver! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goss throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Silver looks gassed! Goss bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Goss working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Silver dodges the ground and pound from Goss. Silver taking a bit of punishment here - Goss scoring with strikes. Goss in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Silver taking punishment in the form of punches.

Goss keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Silver's efforts to push away. Goss gets control of Silver's arms and successfully pulls guard. Goss will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Goss lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silver! Silver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goss. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Silver takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Goss pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Goss breaks from Silver's wrist control and lands an elbow. Goss fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Goss lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Goss is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Silver can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Goss has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Silver's face.

Goss shoots for a takedown but Silver saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Silver tries to keep at a distance but Goss has taken the fight into the clinch. Goss is trying to drag Silver to the mat but Silver just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Goss throws a knee to the head but misses.

Silver has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Goss. A head kick from Goss lands but Silver takes it in his stride.
