Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug Lacey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Doug Lacey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Long! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Long stuffs the takedown attempt from Lacey. Lacey gets slowly back to his feet. Lacey darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Lacey is nestled in close to Long, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Long tries to get to full guard but Lacey has control of the leg. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lacey connects with a nice short shot to Long's temple. Long looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Long is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lacey's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lacey's back! Long doesn't have the hooks in and Lacey manages to turn into his guard.
Lacey postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lacey's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Long is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Lacey trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lacey postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Lacey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lacey is in close to Long's body, working some short punches and elbows. Long looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lacey is one step ahead there. Long not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Long is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lacey postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Long is still in real trouble! Can Lacey finish him? Lacey postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Long covers up, he's hurt! Lacey keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Lacey and the ref steps in to end the fight! Lacey can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
