Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Anton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Armstrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steven Anton! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Armstrong pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Armstrong is looking to clinch but Anton is avoiding it.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Armstrong.
Anton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Anton avoids a punch combination nicely.
Armstrong lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Anton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Anton fails to land the takedown. Michael Armstrong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Anton. Armstrong tries to clinch but Anton is having none of it. Anton walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Armstrong closes the distance and lands a one-two. Armstrong goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Armstrong is looking to clinch. Anton crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Armstrong - the referee stops the clock and Anton gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Armstrong. Anton manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anton walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Armstrong rushes Anton and presses him up against the cage. Anton drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Armstrong takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Armstrong breaks from the clinch.
Anton walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Armstrong scores with a punch to the head. Anton keeps the fight on the outside. Armstrong pushes Anton up against the cage in a clinch. Anton drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Armstrong closes the distance and pushes Anton back into the cage. Armstrong lands a good knee to the midsection. Anton won't want to take too many of those. Anton looks gassed! Anton avoiding damage as Armstrong throws knees to the body.

Anton feints and as Armstrong raises his hands in defense, Anton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Armstrong wants to stand but Anton is controlling the position. Armstrong trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anton loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Armstrong wants to stand but Anton is controlling the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Armstrong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Armstrong wants it to stay on the feet. Armstrong slaps away a takedown attempt from Anton, before circling back to the center of the mat. Armstrong lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. The fight stays on the outside here - Armstrong looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Armstrong is looking to clinch. Armstrong jabs Anton right on the nose. Anton blinks but takes it well.

Armstrong goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Armstrong clinches up against the cage. Anton wants a takedown but no success here.
Anton is trying to drag Armstrong to the mat but Armstrong just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Anton takes an elbow to the temple. Armstrong lands a nice shot to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Armstrong lands a left hand.

A punch combination from Armstrong misses. Armstrong scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Armstrong creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Armstrong will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Anton up against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Armstrong.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Armstrong drives through and clinches with Anton against the cage.

Anton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Armstrong's waist but Armstrong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Anton off to one side.
