The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wayne rushes Perkins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Wayne lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Wayne gets through Perkins's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

It looks like Kendrick Perkins has been cut.
Wayne lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Wayne.

Perkins is rocked!
Perkins is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Perkins jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wayne walks away with a smile on his face. Perkins gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ben Wayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perkins tries to clinch up but Wayne circles away and keeps his distance.

Wayne moves into range and clinches up with Perkins.

Wayne breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Perkins walks into a straight right hand from Wayne.
Oh Perkins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Perkins takes one on the button.
Wayne tests Perkins's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Kendrick Perkins's cut is getting worse.
Perkins walks into a stiff left hand from Wayne.

Wayne moves into the clinch successfully.
Perkins seems to have got his legs back now.
Wayne works on Perkins's body with a couple of short punches.
Wayne lands a left hand that snaps the head of Perkins backwards.

Wayne tightens his grip and picks Perkins up, before dumping him to the ground. Perkins manages to land in guard.
Wayne advances to half guard.

Wayne seems to be working for a kimura but Perkins defends the submission attempt.

Wayne is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Perkins doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wayne.

Wayne escapes and gets back to his feet.
Wayne moves into range and connects with a jab.
Perkins clinches but Wayne breaks the clinch
and Wayne counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Perkins doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wayne connects with a single shot there.
Wayne moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Perkins ducks right into an uppercut from Wayne.
Perkins moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wayne forces Perkins back against the cage and clinches.
Wayne cracks Perkins with a nice body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wayne lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Kendrick Perkins's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Wayne has Perkins pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Perkins is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Wayne - that's hurt Perkins badly! Oh, another knee lands and Perkins is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Perkins doesn't seem to be complaining.
