Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matt Buckner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Hildred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Buckner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tim Hildred! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buckner avoids a kick to the body.
Buckner drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Buckner throws a big right hand that misses. Buckner sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hildred controls Buckner momentarily but Buckner frees himself. Hildred is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Buckner not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hildred trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Buckner won't allow Hildred to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buckner works a leg free and moves into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hildred trying to control from the bottom.
Buckner sitting and controlling from the half guard. Buckner is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Buckner gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hildred with a poor takedown and Buckner decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hildred's guard. Hildred tries to land a sweep but no joy. Buckner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Buckner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Buckner decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Buckner scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Hildred striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buckner wants to control but Hildred is keeping him busy. Buckner lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Buckner tries to advance to mount but can't. Buckner works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. A lull in the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buckner is looking to take a break and control but Hildred is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Buckner lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hildred pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Buckner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hildred sprawls well initially but Buckner persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Buckner is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hildred wants to improve his position but Buckner is controlling well.
Buckner looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Hildred looking for submissions off his back. Buckner slows the pace down in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hildred wants to get back to his feet. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Buckner lands a nice short elbow. Buckner drops an elbow to the side of Hildred's head. Buckner winds up and cracks Hildred with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Buckner stalling. Buckner sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hildred defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Buckner is trying to control the action in half guard but Hildred is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hildred trying to control but Buckner postures up.
Buckner looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Still in half guard, Buckner seems content to control. Hildred is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Buckner pulls his head out easily. Buckner prevents Hildred from standing back up.
Hildred is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buckner controlling the action here. Buckner scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Matt Buckner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Buckner stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Hildred to get to his feet. Hildred misses with a double jab
and Buckner counters with a single leg into guard. Hildred didn't expect that. Buckner won't allow Hildred to sweep him here. Hildred is trying to control the position but Buckner postures up. Buckner advances position into side control! Buckner controlling from side mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hildred tries to get back to half guard but can't. Buckner working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hildred is pushing Buckner's head away, looking to escape. Buckner manages to hold on to the position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buckner scores with a decent looking hook. Buckner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hildred to the mat! Hildred manages to get full guard. Hildred tries to land a sweep but no joy. Buckner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hildred is keeping the position for now. Hildred controls Buckner momentarily but Buckner frees himself. Hildred wants to stand and escape but Buckner is having none of it. Hildred really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buckner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Buckner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Buckner with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Buckner is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buckner scoring with some ground and pound. Buckner keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hildred's head. Buckner is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Buckner trying to control but Hildred is working from the bottom. Buckner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Buckner's corner is telling him to maintain position. Buckner trying to control but Hildred is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hildred wants to get back to his feet but Buckner is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Buckner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hildred tries to clinch but Buckner moves away and Buckner counters with a nice double leg into guard. Buckner postures up.
Hildred takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hildred keeping full guard, as Buckner tries to pass. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hildred is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buckner pulls Hildred in close to his closed guard and prevents Hildred from doing any damage or advancing position. Hildred looking to pass the guard. Buckner pulls Hildred in to control the position. Hildred won't allow Buckner to get back to his feet. Hildred must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hildred chips away with some ground and pound. Buckner is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Hildred looking to sit in guard and control but Buckner gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Buckner advances to half guard. Hildred is looking to escape. Buckner seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Buckner is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Tim Hildred has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Matt Buckner is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Buckner looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that's the end of the fight! Matt Buckner showed his dominance in that final round. Well Buckner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
