Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane Otunga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vera comes to the cage accompanied by Romper Stomper. Otunga is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Eminem - Go To Sleep. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kane Otunga!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Vera tries to clinch but Otunga is having none of it.

Otunga is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Vera has managed to escape the submission attempt.

and Vera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Otunga won't be happy with that.
Otunga tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vera wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
