Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luka Basara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Basara might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eminem feat. Rihanna-I love the way u lie. Jackson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Queen - Another one bites the dust kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Edward Jackson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Luka Basara's chin.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basara displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Basara paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Basara throws a leg kick which misses Jackson's front leg but catches the back leg as Jackson tries to avoid it.
Jackson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Jackson tries to clinch there but Basara circles away.
Jackson stuffs the takedown.
Basara closes the distance and clinches.
Jackson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Basara walks away with a smile on his face. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Basara shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense.

Jackson lands with a shot to the body.
Basara throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Basara off to one side.

Jackson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Basara shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed Basara's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jackson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Jackson misses with a shot to the body
and Basara counters with a low kick, right behind Jackson 's knee.
A slow jab from Jackson misses its intended target.

Jackson darts in trying to clinch
and Basara counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jackson is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Basara stalks Jackson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jackson's face. Jackson staggers backwards, shaken.

The fighters circling - Jackson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Basara tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jackson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Basara somewhat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jackson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Basara uses from the top position.
