Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Martin Sevilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tacuy Uesugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uesugi drives through with a takedown into guard.
Uesugi controls from within his opponent's guard.
Sevilla throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Uesugi tries to free his leg and advance position but Sevilla is retaining full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sevilla is looking to improve his position.
Uesugi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sevilla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Uesugi is looking to take a break and control but Sevilla is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Uesugi is pressing down on Sevilla's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sevilla is holding on for now.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Uesugi dives in and grabs Sevilla's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sevilla pushes down on Uesugi's head and hops out.
Sevilla fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Uesugi, pushing him back against the cage.

Sevilla is pressed up against the cage. Uesugi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sevilla down to the mat. Sevilla avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Sevilla is looking to clinch but Uesugi is avoiding it.

and Uesugi counters by clinching up.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sevilla fails with an attempt to clinch.
Uesugi leaves Sevilla with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Uesugi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sevilla looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sevilla manages to work his way to half guard, despite Uesugi's best efforts.
Sevilla is looking to improve his position.
Sevilla is looking to control Uesugi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sevilla avoid being mounted?
Uesugi looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Sevilla throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Uesugi manages to pass to side control.
Uesugi is breathing heavily.
Sevilla is trying to improve his position.

Uesugi decides to stand back up. Uesugi steps back and let's Sevilla get back to his feet.
Martin Sevilla is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sevilla fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Uesugi, pushing him back against the cage.
Uesugi wants a takedown but no success here.
Sevilla has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Uesugi uses from the top position.
Uesugi won't allow Sevilla to sweep him here.

Uesugi is trying to escape the mount but Sevilla keeps good control and instead manages to take Uesugi's back.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Sevilla misses with an elbow to the head.
Sevilla is not going to allow Uesugi to sit and survive in this position.
Uesugi is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Sevilla wants to control but Uesugi is keeping busy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sevilla throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Will Sevilla go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Sevilla is looking to control Uesugi but Uesugi is wriggling around and keeping busy.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Sevilla throwing strikes here but Uesugi is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Uesugi wants to hold on but Sevilla pushes him away.

Uesugi tries to lock up and control but Sevilla gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Sevilla tries to push Uesugi's head away but Uesugi is holding on tight.
Sevilla has hold of Uesugi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Uesugi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Uesugi is in a horrible position here. Sevilla smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Sevilla misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Sevilla has control of Uesugi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Uesugi regains control of the situation pretty easily.

and Uesugi counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Uesugi.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Martin Sevilla.
I think Sevilla has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
