The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tvrtko throws a right and a left that both miss. Vlad Tvrtko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Emilsson feints and as Tvrtko raises his hands in defense, Emilsson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Emilsson prevents Tvrtko from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Emilsson controlling from the top position. Emilsson really is a fat lump. Emilsson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Emilsson preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Emilsson trying to control but Tvrtko is working from the bottom. That's one minute gone in the round. Emilsson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Emilsson wants to pass the guard but Tvrtko is keeping the position. Emilsson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Emilsson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tvrtko, pushing him back against the cage. Emilsson wants a takedown.
Tvrtko wants to break the clinch but can't.
Emilsson prevents Tvrtko from breaking the clinch. The is referee keeping an eye on Emilsson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Tvrtko wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Tvrtko gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Emilsson.
Emilsson keeps control of Tvrtko as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Tvrtko can't break the clinch.
Tvrtko wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Emilsson has him pressed against the cage. Tvrtko has had enough of the clinch but Emilsson keeps him there for the moment. That's two minutes gone in the round. Emilsson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tvrtko throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Emilsson crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
