Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keiko Curtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pawel Kuczin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Keiko Curtis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pawel Kuczin! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Curtis doesn't manage to clinch there - Kuczin circles away.
Kuczin scores with a takedown into Curtis's guard. Kuczin trying to control the position from guard on top but Curtis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Curtis working a defensive guard but Kuczin manages to pass into side control anyway.
Kuczin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Curtis has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kuczin but great work by Curtis. Curtis throwing strikes but Kuczin manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Curtis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kuczin cracks Curtis with a big elbow. Kuczin in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Kuczin connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Curtis some visible discomfort.
Curtis keeping his opponent close. Kuczin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Curtis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Curtis tries to get back to half guard but can't. Curtis manages to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Curtis moves into full guard.
Curtis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kuczin defends well. Kuczin looking to pass the guard. Kuczin forces his way into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are battling for position here. Curtis manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Curtis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kuczin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Curtis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kuczin defends it easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Curtis is breathing heavily. Kuczin scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuczin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Kuczin throwing strikes but missing. Curtis keeping full guard, as Kuczin tries to pass. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Curtis trying to control the position.
Kuczin being controlled here momentarily. Kuczin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kuczin trying to control the position from guard on top but Curtis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuczin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Curtis works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Curtis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Curtis tries to land a leg kick but Kuczin saw it coming and moves away.
Kuczin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Curtis! Curtis sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Kuczin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kuczin is thwarting Curtis's attempts to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Curtis gets back to full guard.
Curtis wants to sweep but no luck. Curtis pushes a forearm under Kuczin's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kuczin is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Keiko Curtis!
