Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andy Hug (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matsuda Shotaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andy Hug has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andy Hug! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matsuda Shotaro! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.

Shotaro tries to sprawl out of it but Hug keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shotaro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hug throws a head kick that misses. Hug ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Hug is looking to clinch. Shotaro fails with the takedown and Hug counters with a right hand to the body. Hug shoots and misses
and Shotaro decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hug's guard. Shotaro's corner is telling him to maintain position. Shotaro tries to free his leg and advance position but Hug is retaining full guard.
Shotaro gets to his feet. Hug looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Hug gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Shotaro counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hug's guard now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Hug. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hug holds on and takes a little breather.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hug is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Shotaro seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Shotaro stopping the sweep attempt from Hug.
Shotaro drops back looking for a leg! Hug is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hug manages to kick Shotaro off! Shotaro jumps back into Hug's guard.

Shotaro pushes down on Hug's leg and manages to get into half guard. Shotaro trying to control the pace. Hug is staying active underneath Shotaro, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Shotaro perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Hug misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Shotaro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hug keeps working. Shotaro looks gassed! Hug wants to improve his position but Shotaro is controlling well.

Hug is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Shotaro with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Hug is looking to improve his position.
Hug is looking to control Shotaro's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hug avoid being mounted?

Hug is trying to control the position but Shotaro postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shotaro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Shotaro won't allow Hug to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matsuda Shotaro dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Hug stuffs the takedown attempt from Shotaro. Shotaro gets slowly back to his feet. Hug tries to clinch up. Hug stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hug wants it to stay on the feet. Shotaro stuffs the takedown attempt from Hug. Hug gets slowly back to his feet. Shotaro misses with a takedown
and Hug counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Andy Hug has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matsuda Shotaro. Shotaro jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hug walks away with a smile on his face. Hug closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Shotaro did well to prevent Hug getting side control. Shotaro slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hug wants to pass the guard but Shotaro is keeping the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Shotaro is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Hug would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. and Shotaro counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Shotaro. Hug is trying to break the clinch but Shotaro has him pressed against the cage. Hug makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Shotaro gets underhooks to prevent Hug's takedown attempt.
Shotaro has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hug is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hug pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hug decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Shotaro bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hug's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Hug dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Shotaro shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shotaro stands and steps away. Hug gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Shotaro dives in and grabs Hug's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hug pushes down on Shotaro's head and hops out.
Hug closes the distance and pushes Shotaro back into the cage. A short uppercut from Hug. Hug tries to score a body lock takedown but Shotaro shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Shotaro gets underhooks to prevent Hug's takedown attempt.
Shotaro has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hug is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hug looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Hug. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hug tries for a takedown. No joy.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hug is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shotaro pulls him back up using the underhooks. Shotaro drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Nice sprawl there from Hug as Shotaro shoots in. Andy Hug is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hug tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shotaro swivels and escapes. Shotaro shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hug counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Shotaro managing to control the position.

Shotaro manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hug manages to get himself to full guard.
Hug throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Shotaro is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Let's hope that Shotaro has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Hug moves in looking to clinch but Shotaro pushes him off. Shotaro is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hug sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Shotaro pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Hug closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shotaro to the mat! Shotaro manages to get full guard. Shotaro keeping moving, preventing Hug from controlling successfully. Shotaro looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
And that's the end of the fight! Andy Hug showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hug has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
