Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jayceon Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernandez Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Westside Story. Martinez has chosen iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii as his entrance music. Jayceon Taylor could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Fernandez Martinez's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor feints and as Martinez raises his hands in defense, Taylor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martinez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taylor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Martinez wants to sweep here but Taylor controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Taylor shoots for a double leg takedown but Martinez sprawls well. He's pushed Taylor's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Taylor will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Martinez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Martinez throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Taylor pushes Martinez away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Martinez gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Martinez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Martinez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Taylor kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Martinez throws an elbow but Taylor slips to the side and avoids it well.
Martinez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Taylor keeps working.
Taylor prevents Martinez from moving into mount.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Taylor is on top in guard.
Martinez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Taylor sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Martinez's guard.
Martinez wants to improve his position but Taylor is controlling well.

Martinez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taylor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Martinez cracks Taylor with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
