Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Guilherme Joao Paulo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bato Gahi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joao Paulo comes to the cage accompanied by Pain Confessor- Eye of the Tiger. Bato Gahi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Gahi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Joao Paulo avoids it really well and circles away.

Joao Paulo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gahi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gahi remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Gahi shoots in looking for a takedown. Joao Paulo tries to sprawl out of it but Gahi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Joao Paulo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
