Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richie Yang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tristan Galahad! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yang drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Galahad escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Yang gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Yang showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Galahad can't keep his opponent in guard - Yang advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Galahad moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yang wants to pass the guard but Galahad is keeping the position. Galahad looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Galahad avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Galahad manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yang manages to get himself to full guard.
Galahad must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Yang throws his legs up looking for a submission but Galahad uses it to pass to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Yang tries to improve position but can't. Galahad scores with punches from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yang manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Yang looking for submissions off his back. Galahad trying to control the action but Yang is working from the bottom. Galahad controlling the pace. Yang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Yang looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Yang looking for submissions off his back. Yang is breathing heavily.

Galahad wants to take a breather but Yang is having none of it. Yang looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Galahad pushes past his half guard into mount! Galahad tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Galahad has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Yang's face.

Galahad can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Yang is looking to escape. Galahad lands with some strikes. Galahad postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Yang looks a forlorn figure.
Galahad lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yang really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Tristan Galahad dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Yang tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Richie Yang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Yang is defended easily by Galahad. Yang fails to land the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Galahad with a poor takedown and Yang counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yang stalling away here and it's allowed Galahad to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Galahad trying to strike off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Yang wants to control from the top but Galahad keeps moving. Yang trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Yang with a lazy takedown attempt and Galahad counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richie Yang. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yang is trying to improve his position. Galahad is looking to take a break and control but Yang is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Yang tries to bench press Galahad off him but Galahad keeps the position. Yang gets back to half guard. Yang is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Galahad scores with a couple of nice shots. Galahad seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Galahad wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yang keeps working.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Galahad in particular looking to stall. Yang is refusing to be controlled, as Galahad sits in half guard. Yang has a hand on Galahad's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Galahad takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Yang wants to hold on but Galahad pushes him away. Galahad controlling the pace for now. Yang wants to control but Galahad is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tristan Galahad showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Galahad is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Galahad wants to control from the top but Yang keeps moving. Galahad tries to free his leg and advance position but Yang is retaining full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Galahad gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Yang counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Yang. Galahad looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yang is one step ahead there.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Galahad is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Yang is pushing down on Galahad's leg trying to pass to half guard. Galahad is fighting to maintain full guard but Yang has managed to sneak the leg through. Yang thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Yang darts in trying to clinch and Galahad counters with a nice double leg into side control. Yang won't be happy with that. Tristan Galahad has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Galahad trying to control the position but Yang is working away. Galahad is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Yang is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Galahad off and has taken his back! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yang is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Galahad is defending well though. Yang let's go of the attempt for now. Yang working for the choke.
And that's the end of the fight! Tristan Galahad comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Galahad has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
