The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nueve fails to land the takedown.
Sung il tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nueve paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sung il.
Nueve takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Nueve shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sung il tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nueve thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sung il has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nueve can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

I looks like Sung il might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sung il doesn't manage to clinch there - Nueve circles away.
Nueve stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sung il.

and Sung il counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Nueve tries to keep at a distance but Sung il has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sung il manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sung il lands with a kick to the temple. Nueve shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Well Sung il has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
