Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Olivier Carnot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rex Banner! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banner checks a low kick from Carnot. Carnot misses with a low kick. Carnot swings away with a leg kick that misses. Banner throws a shot to the body.
Carnot is breathing heavily. Banner closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Olivier Carnot has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The fight moves into the clinch position. Banner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Banner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Banner slows the pace down. Check out the look on Banner's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Carnot pushes Banner away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Banner gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Banner slows the pace down. Banner is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Carnot looks calm but he's in trouble here. Banner gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Carnot is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Banner lets go of the hold and Carnot can pop his arm back in it's socket.
