Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Daley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ozzy Osborn! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daley lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Daley shoots in and bounces Osborn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Daley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Osborn is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Osborn keeping moving, preventing Daley from controlling successfully. Osborn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Daley is looking to work some ground and pound but Osborn has wrist control. Daley prevents Osborn from getting back to his feet. Daley has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Osborn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Osborn looks gassed! Daley is trying to stand up here but Osborn is controlling him well. Daley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Osborn on the ground. Daley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. No luck for Daley with that takedown attempt. Osborn has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Paul Daley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Daley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Osborn circles away. Daley misses with a jab, cross combination.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Daley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. A wild punch that just about connected. Osborn lands with a kick to the temple. Daley shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Daley misses with a few strikes there.

He catches Daley napping and manages to drive through into side control! Daley is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Osborn off and has taken his back! A close second round but Ozzy Osborn will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
