Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Red Rum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Soldado Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Red Rum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Soldado Warrior!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rum stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rum wants it to stay on the feet.
Rum tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Warrior swivels and escapes.
Warrior pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Rum looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rum scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Rum is trying to control. Warrior wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Warrior fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rum checks it well.

and Rum counters with a nice double leg into side control. Warrior won't be happy with that.

Warrior tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Warrior stalling in the clinch but Rum improves position.
Rum tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Warrior just stands there and leans against the cage.
Rum drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Warrior gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Warrior pushes off an throws an elbow but Rum leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Rum is trying to drag Warrior to the mat but Warrior just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Warrior wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rum has him pressed against the cage.
Warrior wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rum is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Warrior really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rum, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
