Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Rockstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasya Galushky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockstein's entrance music is I'm just a Rock 'n' Roll Clown - Dr Rockzo. A fine choice. Galushky comes into a darkened arena with his song building. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvgzNoak-fQ&translated=1 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Leonard Rockstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vasya Galushky!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockstein swinging wildly here.

Rockstein moves into the clinch.
Rockstein tries to circle away but Galushky has him pinned against the cage.

Rockstein pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Galushky shoots in looking for a takedown. Rockstein tries to sprawl out of it but Galushky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rockstein manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rockstein throws a shot from downtown. Galushky moves away and avoids it.

Galushky gets a takedown into half guard.
Galushky is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Let's hope that Galushky has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Galushky wants to work for an arm triangle but Rockstein is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Galushky thows a huge punch but Rockstein dodges it nicely.
Rockstein is trying to stand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Vasya Galushky just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Galushky is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rockstein sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Galushky closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rockstein to the mat! Rockstein manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's time! Rockstein's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Rockstein stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rockstein wants it to stay on the feet.
Galushky fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rockstein avoids it really well and circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rockstein is defended easily by Galushky.
Galushky fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Leonard Rockstein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vasya Galushky.

It looks like Vasya Galushky has been cut.

Rockstein bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Galushky's head backwards.
Rockstein cracks Galushky with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

That has opened up Vasya Galushky's cut even more.
Rockstein fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Galushky takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Rockstein rushes Galushky and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Rockstein's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Galushky has his takedown stuffed
and Rockstein counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Rockstein scores with a sloppy right hand. Galushky should have avoided that one.
Rockstein is looking to clinch.

and Rockstein counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Vasya Galushky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rockstein closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Rockstein gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Rockstein wants to stand and escape but Galushky is having none of it.
Galushky controlling from the top position.
Galushky thows a big elbow that misses.

Galushky prevents Rockstein from getting back to his feet.
Rockstein on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rockstein tries to get out of the position.

Rockstein wants to get back to his feet but Galushky passes into half guard.
Still in half guard, Galushky seems content to control.

Galushky decides to stand and escape the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Galushky is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rockstein sees it coming and defends easily.
Galushky is taking a breather. Rockstein says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Galushky is looking for a kimura but Rockstein is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Galushky to get the leverage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Rockstein is looking to control Galushky's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rockstein avoid being mounted?
Galushky is taking a breather. Rockstein says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Rockstein is trying to stand up here but Galushky is controlling him well.
Galushky is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Rockstein is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

and Rockstein counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Galushky darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Galushky is nestled in close to Rockstein, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Despite being in the dominant position, Vasya Galushky just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Galushky throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rockstein was covering up waiting for the punch and Galushky finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Galushky is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Vasya Galushky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Galushky has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
