Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magus Arbenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Sheznik! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sheznik misses with a hook. Arbenson slips a jab from Sheznik. Arbenson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sheznik. That did some damage! Arbenson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sheznik moves away. Sheznik throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Arbenson lands with a kick to the ribs.
Sheznik misses the jab. Arbenson swings away with a leg kick that misses. Magus Arbenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arbenson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Arbenson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sheznik moves away. Arbenson slaps away a takedown attempt from Sheznik, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sheznik tries to bum rush Arbenson with a series of wild strikes but Arbenson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sheznik takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Sheznik swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Sheznik fails to land the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Arbenson lands a slapping body shot.

and Arbenson counters with a head kick. That will keep Sheznik thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Arbenson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Arbenson doesn't manage to clinch there - Sheznik circles away.
Good leg kick by Arbenson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Arbenson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Arbenson is looking to slow Sheznik down with leg kicks.

Arbenson lands with a short head shot on the inside. Arbenson presses Sheznik against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Sheznik drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Arbenson. Arbenson utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Arbenson lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sheznik or not. Arbenson effectively controlling the action here. Sheznik wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Arbenson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sheznik backwards. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Magus Arbenson dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

That's one minute gone in the round. Arbenson connects with the punch. Arbenson cracks the inside of Sheznik's front leg. Sheznik on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Arbenson. Arbenson obviously looking to wear him down.

and Arbenson counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Sheznik takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A jab from Sheznik misses. Sheznik's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Sheznik ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Arbenson moves away. Arbenson scores with a jab to the body. Sheznik avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Arbenson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sheznik. Arbenson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Arbenson lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sheznik takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sheznik changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Arbenson throws a sloppy head kick and Sheznik moves out of range easily. Sheznik thows a body shot but no joy. Arbenson misses with a jab to the body
and Sheznik counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Arbenson loads up on a big right hand but Sheznik slips the punch. Arbenson fails to land the takedown. Arbenson wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Arbenson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sheznik was covering up waiting for the punch and Arbenson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Sheznik wants to improve his position but instead Arbenson has moved into half guard.
Sheznik is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sheznik is pressing down on Arbenson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Magus Arbenson dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Arbenson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Arbenson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A jab from Arbenson finds it's way through Sheznik's defenses. Arbenson lands with a slapping head kick. Arbenson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. A jab from Sheznik misses. Sheznik throws a jab but it's blocked by Arbenson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arbenson slips under a jab from Sheznik. Nice shot by Sheznik. Magus Arbenson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Arbenson throws a nice outside leg kick. Arbenson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Arbenson throws the kick towards the body but Sheznik avoids it. Sheznik uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Arbenson. Arbenson throws a combination that misses and Sheznik counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sheznik. Sheznik is looking to work some ground and pound but Arbenson has wrist control. Arbenson trying to keep a closed guard but Sheznik is proving a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Magus Arbenson. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Arbenson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
