Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darius Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CHUCK LIDDELL (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darius Ellis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, CHUCK LIDDELL! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ellis dodges the punch combination from LIDDELL.
LIDDELL shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than LIDDELL was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! LIDDELL trying to control but Ellis is having none of it. LIDDELL jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ellis is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ellis and LIDDELL has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Ellis throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
LIDDELL throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Check out the look on LIDDELL's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
You can see the frustration on Ellis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. LIDDELL lands an elbow. LIDDELL is trying to get an arm triangle but Ellis is defending well. Ellis is pushing LIDDELL's head away, looking to escape. LIDDELL manages to hold on to the position though. Ellis manages to get back to half guard. LIDDELL drops an elbow to the side of Ellis's head. Ellis avoiding damage under a succession of punches from LIDDELL. LIDDELL is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ellis defends it well. LIDDELL looks gassed! Ellis is looking for a sweep. LIDDELL is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellis is working hard here to advance position. LIDDELL wants to take a breather but Ellis is having none of it. Ellis is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. LIDDELL prevents Ellis from improving his position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. LIDDELL drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. LIDDELL blocks the strikes from Ellis.
LIDDELL takes a little break here. Ellis wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ellis regains half guard, as LIDDELL was trying to land strikes. LIDDELL wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ellis keeps working. Ellis is looking for a sweep. LIDDELL is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ellis gets full guard. LIDDELL trying to control but Ellis is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ellis wants to get back to his feet but LIDDELL is in a dominant position and won't allow it. LIDDELL preventing the sweep. Ellis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ellis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ellis content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Ellis tries to stand and escape but LIDDELL is controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
CHUCK LIDDELL dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
LIDDELL throws a series of strikes that have Ellis backpedaling.
Darius Ellis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ellis moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Ellis shoots in for a takedown but LIDDELL shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. LIDDELL drives through with a takedown into guard. Ellis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ellis scores with a nice shot. Ellis tries to strike from the bottom.
LIDDELL trying to control the position from guard on top but Ellis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. LIDDELL won't allow Ellis to sweep him here. Ellis working for a triangle but LIDDELL defends it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ellis keeping moving, preventing LIDDELL from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
LIDDELL must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. LIDDELL trying to control the position from guard on top but Ellis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. LIDDELL tries to clinch but Ellis moves out of range. LIDDELL misses with a wild body shot. Ellis shoots and misses and LIDDELL counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ellis's guard now. CHUCK LIDDELL has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. LIDDELL is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. LIDDELL missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. LIDDELL slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. LIDDELL has hold of Ellis's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ellis tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - LIDDELL cranks the arm and Ellis screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ellis, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). CHUCK LIDDELL!
