Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Noguera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Noguera!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noguera shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely.
Noguera wants to clinch.

Noguera closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Silva is looking to control Noguera's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silva avoid being mounted?
Noguera slows the pace down in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Noguera connects with a nice short shot to Silva's temple.

Silva tries to roll over but Noguera keeps him under control.
Noguera wants to pass to mount but Silva is defending the position.

Silva is pressing down on Noguera's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Noguera wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Silva has Noguera pulled in close to control his posture.
Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Noguera is one step ahead there.
Noguera slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Noguera is one step ahead there.

Noguera gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Noguera closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Noguera lands in his opponent's guard.

Silva looking for a guillotine here but Noguera defends easily.

Noguera stands and steps away. Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Noguera. Noguera gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anderson Noguera dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Noguera looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Silva.
Noguera tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes.

and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Silva gets a clinch.
Noguera drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Silva gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Sergio Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Noguera.
Noguera is trying to stall.
Noguera has had enough of the clinch but Silva keeps him there for the moment.
Noguera is breathing heavily.
Silva is stalling here.

Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silva closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A big right from Noguera misses.
Silva tries to clinch there but Noguera circles away.
Silva shoots in but Noguera avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Noguera counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Noguera pinned against the cage. Noguera gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Silva drives through and clinches with Noguera against the cage.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Silva obliges.
Silva fails to pull guard.

Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Silva closes the distance but Noguera moves to the side

and Noguera counters with a nice double leg into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Silva striking off his back but it's not causing Noguera any problems.
Noguera is pushing down on Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Noguera has managed to sneak the leg through.

Noguera tries to pass to full mount but Silva defends it.
Noguera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.
Silva regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Noguera.
Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Noguera is one step ahead there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Noguera has passed into side control.
Noguera blocks the strikes from Silva.
Silva tries to bench press Noguera off him but Noguera keeps the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Noguera counters with a single leg into guard. Silva didn't expect that.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Anderson Noguera showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Noguera rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.

Noguera misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Noguera is not content to let Silva control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Silva prevents Noguera from standing back up.
Noguera tries to get to full guard but Silva has control of the leg.
Noguera flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva wants to control from the top but Noguera keeps moving.
