And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metti tries to clinch but Machida is having none of it.
Metti shoots in for a double leg but Machida sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

A head kick from Machida lands but Metti takes it in his stride.
Medium Metti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida swats away the attempt to clinch by Metti.
Metti has taken the fight to the clinch.

With the fighters up against the cage, Metti throws an elbow but misses.

Metti avoids the head kick by Machida.
Metti tries to clinch up but Machida circles away and keeps his distance.

Machida throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Machida counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Machida looks at the referee who does nothing so Machida lands a crushing right that sends Metti to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
