Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Skaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skaar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ozzy Osbourne - I Don't Wanna Stop. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Matthew Cannon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Roy Skaar! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skaar throws a body punch but Cannon moves out of range. Skaar misses with a wild combination.
Cannon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Skaar on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Cannon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Skaar cracks Cannon with an open hand slap. Skaar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cannon fails to land with a series of punches.

Cannon lands a glancing blow to the side of Skaar's head. Skaar throws a combination that misses and Cannon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Cannon is looking to wear down Skaar with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Skaar misses with a shot to the body and Cannon counters with a stiff right hand. Cannon lands with an uppercut that bounces Skaar off the cage and back into rage. Cannon uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Skaar has time to react. Skaar takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Skaar looks gassed! Skaar scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Cannon jabs at Skaar's body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cannon sizes up Skaar with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Cannon looks to land a combination. Skaar sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Cannon cracks Skaar with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Skaar is rocked! Cannon connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Skaar is still on wobbly legs! Can Cannon finish him? Cannon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Cannon counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Skaar! Cannon trying to pass the guard but Skaar defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cannon with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Cannon is working for a submission of some sort.
Cannon content to control rather than advance. Cannon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Skaar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skaar is trying to get back to full guard. Cannon is thwarting Skaar's attempts to control the position. Skaar is staying active underneath Cannon, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Skaar throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cannon counters with a one-two to the body. Cannon cracks Skaar with a good jab. Skaar bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cannon's head. Matthew Cannon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cannon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Skaar.

Cannon connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Skaar's hands. Skaar walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Skaar throws a right and a left that Cannon avoids nicely. Cannon scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Donk. Cannon catches Skaar right on the button with a cross. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cannon scores with a decent looking hook. Cannon changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Cannon lands a really nice looking cross but Skaar seems unphased.
Skaar walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cannon lands with a cross. Cannon jabs at Skaar's body. Cannon goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Cannon stuns Skaar with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Cannon changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Cannon connects with a crisp jab. Cannon swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Skaar. Cannon drops Skaar with a left right combo! Cannon follows him down to the ground into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Skaar tries to improve position but can't. Cannon landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Skaar parries the strikes from Cannon easily there. Cannon is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Skaar to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Skaar seems a little lost for a moment, as Cannon dominates the positioning. Cannon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cannon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The referee asks Cannon politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Cannon prefers to stall for the moment though. Cannon landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Cannon in side control, throwing shots but Skaar defends. Cannon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Skaar tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cannon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Skaar can do to turn this around? Cannon working the ground and pound.

Skaar is squirming around, avoiding Cannon's attempts to control the action. The referee warns Skaar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
