Slider gets caught flat footed, as Cridle shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cridle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Slider is keeping the position for now.
Cridle wants to control from the top but Slider keeps moving.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Slider can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cridle passes Slider's left leg - he's now in half guard.
