Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Igor Schlemenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Damage! The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schlemenko throws a head kick but Damage moves out of range.
Schlemenko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Damage closes the distance and clinches. Schlemenko tries to break free but Damage pushes him back against the cage. Schlemenko tries to land a knee to the head but Damage blocks with his arms.
Damage stalls. Damage keeps control of Schlemenko as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Schlemenko misses with a knee to the head. Damage has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Schlemenko is trying to keep an underhook but Damage manages to get the takedown into half guard. Damage looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Schlemenko is trying to stand up here but Damage is controlling him well. Damage with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Damage looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Damage content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Schlemenko is in trouble now - Damage has advanced to mount! Schlemenko is trying to escape the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Damage controlling his opponent. Let's hope that Damage has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Damage's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Schlemenko is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Damage tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Despite being in the dominant position, Max Damage just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Schlemenko tries to clinch up and Damage counters with a nice double leg into side control. Schlemenko won't be happy with that. Damage moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Damage dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Damage is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Schlemenko's half guard. Still in half guard, Damage seems content to control. Schlemenko is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Damage pulls his head out easily. Schlemenko is trying to stand up here but Damage is controlling him well. Damage frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schlemenko is wriggling around trying to escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Damage controlling from the full mount. Schlemenko is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Damage is landing with some decent strikes but Schlemenko is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Schlemenko could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Damage looking to control and managing it successfully.

Despite being in the dominant position, Max Damage just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Schlemenko gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Damage postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Damage sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schlemenko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Schlemenko working for submissions but it's allowed Damage to get to half guard.
Damage works his way into full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Damage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Damage feints and as Schlemenko raises his hands in defense, Damage changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Damage is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Damage passes Schlemenko's left leg - he's now in half guard. Damage seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schlemenko looking for submissions off his back. Schlemenko is in trouble now - Damage has advanced to mount! Damage avoids the attempt from Schlemenko to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Schlemenko flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Damage scoring with strikes but Schlemenko is staying in there. Damage with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Max Damage is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Damage has Schlemenko pushed against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Schlemenko is looking to break free of the clinch but Damage has double underhooks. Igor Schlemenko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Schlemenko looking to throw knees to the head but Damage is blocking nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Max Damage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Damage has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
