Thastrom is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gable tries to get to full guard but Thastrom has control of the leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thastrom has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gable's face.

Gable is desperately trying to improve his position but Thastrom has a good base and remains in mount.

Gable tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

and Thastrom connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Thastrom closes the distance and clinches up with Gable, looking for a takedown. Thastrom pushes Gable against the cage but Gable circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thastrom moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Thastrom connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Gable! He's out on his feet! Thastrom rushes in and drops Gable with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
