Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ron Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lev Nikifor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bean comes into the arena with Raising Hell blaring out of the sound system. Lev Nikifor acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ron Bean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lev Nikifor!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bean lands a nice shot that snaps Nikifor's head back.
Nikifor scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Bean thumps Nikifor with a low kick.
Bean uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nikifor.
Bean keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Bean closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nikifor stops Bean from passing to mount.
Bean is looking to take a break and control but Nikifor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Nikifor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bean. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bean scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Nikifor to see if he's OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bean has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nikifor's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Bean lands a big shot there that rocks Nikifor but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Bean is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Nikifor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bean swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
