Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tito Munashi! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Munashi swivels and escapes. Munashi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Munashi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Munashi throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Munashi wants to sweep but no luck. Munashi throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Jones tries to stand but Munashi is controlling from the bottom. Munashi trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Jones decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jones misses with a takedown and Munashi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard. Munashi throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jones preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones thows a big elbow that misses. Munashi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Munashi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Munashi looks gassed! Jones showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Munashi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jones pushes down on Munashi's leg and manages to get into half guard. Munashi has a hand on Jones's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Jones takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Munashi working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Munashi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Munashi is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Munashi regains half guard. Jones prevents Munashi from improving his position. Munashi punching from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Munashi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Munashi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.
Jones is pulling down on Munashi's head to control his posture. Jones kicks Munashi off and gets to his feet. Munashi circles away from the clinch attempt and Munashi counters with a takedown into side control. Jones is not content to let Munashi control the position. Jones can't do much from the bottom here. Jones gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tito Munashi dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Munashi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Munashi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jones is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Munashi's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jones is doing well to control the position and prevent Munashi from advancing to side control. Munashi throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely. Tito Munashi has got the better of the ground game so far. Munashi is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jones reverses the position - he's now on top in Munashi's guard. Munashi thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Munashi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Munashi looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jones puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Munashi is breathing heavily. Jones missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Munashi keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Munashi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Jones is looking to clinch. Jones gets caught flat footed, as Munashi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Munashi wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position. Jones is pulling down on Munashi's head. It's preventing any offense from Munashi, at least for the moment. Munashi thows a big elbow that misses. Munashi postures up.

He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Munashi frees his head nicely. Oh but Jones has switched to an armbar! Munashi is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
