The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Festin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fujii gets the takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Festin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Fujii tries for a kimura but Festin is defending well. Fujii working the ground and pound. Fujii advances nicely into full mount. Fujii has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fujii jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Festin manages to avoid the submission attempt. Fujii working away. Fujii is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Festin has escaped the position, nice work there. Fujii working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Fujii is breathing heavily. Fujii trying to control the action but Festin is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fujii working the body and head with strikes. Festin is trying to work for a sweep but Fujii has mounted him! Festin is wriggling around trying to escape.
Fujii is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Fujii!
