Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Hazelwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Hazelwood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Smith! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith has a takedown stuffed. Eddie Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Smith closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hazelwood.
Hazelwood has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hazelwood goes for a takedown attempt but Smith pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Hazelwood. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hazelwood with a lazy takedown attempt and Smith counters with a three punch combo that has Hazelwood backing up. Hazelwood nods at Smith to acknowledge the strikes. Hazelwood gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Smith counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Smith's corner is telling him to maintain position. Smith looking to pass the guard. Hazelwood is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Smith is standing up over Hazelwood. Hazelwood looks to escape but Smith dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hazelwood struggling a bit here. Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hazelwood keeps working. Hazelwood on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hazelwood tries to get out of the position. Smith working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hazelwood avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hazelwood misses with a takedown attempt so Smith counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hazelwood had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Smith defends it easily. Hazelwood is breathing heavily. Hazelwood keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully. Hazelwood is trying to control the position but Smith postures up. Hazelwood looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Smith passes into half guard.
Smith is keen to just control but Hazelwood is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Smith prevents Hazelwood from improving his position. Hazelwood is trying to maintain the position but Smith is very close to passing his half guard. Smith is trying to control the action in half guard but Hazelwood is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Smith goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Hazelwood with a lazy takedown attempt and Smith counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smith keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Smith trying to mount his opponent but Hazelwood defends it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Smith lands with a slapping head kick. Hazelwood misses with a takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Smith scores with a jab to the body. A punch combination from Smith misses. Hazelwood takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith throws a series of punches but Hazelwood avoids them all with ease. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Smith!
Hazelwood fails with the takedown and Smith counters with a left and a right that stings Hazelwood. Left hook, right uppercut from Smith. Smith wants to clinch. Smith scores with a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith lands a nice shot that snaps Hazelwood's head back.
Smith works over Hazelwood's head and body with a nice combination. Hazelwood takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Eddie Smith seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smith lands with a nice combination. Hazelwood backs away looking to recover. Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hazelwood shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Smith counters with a left to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Hazelwood. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body. A left and a right from Smith both land. Nice combination. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Smith, as that shot connected.
Smith tries to clinch up. Hazelwood misses with a takedown attempt and Smith counters with a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith scores with a hook to the body. Hazelwood takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Smith misses with a few strikes there.
Smith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Smith gets a clinch. Smith landing knees to the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smith lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hazelwood has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eddie Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Smith lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Smith shoots in and bounces Hazelwood off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Hazelwood is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smith has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Smith wants to pass the guard but Hazelwood is keeping the position. Smith wants to stand but Hazelwood has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Smith is stalling in the full guard.

Hazelwood didn't expect that. Hazelwood is looking for a triangle here but Smith uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Hazelwood is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith gets to mount! Hazelwood was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Smith trying to control but Hazelwood is having none of it. Hazelwood slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Eddie Smith is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Smith controlling the action here. Hazelwood trying to hold on to Smith's head to control him but Smith postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hazelwood is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Eddie Smith has got the better of the ground game so far. Smith trying to control from half guard but Hazelwood is working away. Smith passes the guard and advances to mount! Hazelwood is looking to get to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Eddie Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
